Lesson

Our Island Earth

Students investigate a native Hawaiian endangered species. They learn about the problems affecting the survival of the species as well as how people are working to protect it and improve its survival in todayʻs world. Students build a three-dimensional model to demonstrate what they have learned. They write about the features of the ecosystem and point out how Earth spheres interact to support or harm the life of their species.
